A Walk In The Park

Kidney Disease Awareness & Prevention Festival & Health Screening

1in9 and TwinEpidemic Invite You

March is Kidney Disease Awareness Month, and 1in9 invites you to come and bring your family, friends and neighbors to Cesar Chavez Park Saturday March 12, 2022 for A Walk In The Park to take charge of your health.
  • Kidney disease kills more people each year than breast cancer or prostate cancer
  • Diabetes and high blood pressure are the 2 leading causes
  • 90% of people with kidney disease don’t even know that they have it?

Awareness, prevention and early detection are key to the health of your kidneys and we want you to be “in the know” so that you can be empowered to advocate for your own health and the health of your loved ones.

kidney rhyme

I was part of that 90% who didn’t know when my kidneys failed nearly 24 years ago at the age of 29. If my journey can help others and is what God destined as my purpose in life, then I would be willing to go back and do it all over again.
